October 4 - Leadership Institute

Join Jeff King on October 4 for the first session of a two session workshop. The Leadership Institute workshops will help you understand and apply the dynamics of emotional intelligence to increase your capacity as a leader, manager, and coach. Do you know your top five strengths? As a leader it is important to know your talents, with this workshop you’ll find out the top 5 strengths you bring to the table. You will also learn how to maximize your strengths and gain a better understanding of yourself. October 12 - Communication and Conflict Management (online)

How well do you manage conflict? Conflict is a part of our daily lives. How we manage conflict impact has a direct impact on the quality, our work. Effectively dealing with and using conflict as a positive tool is a major component of success in current or future leadership roles. October 20 - Leading from Wherever You Are (online)

You may be seen as a leader in your team, even if you don’t have leader in your job title. In addition to influence, leaders need to build positive relationships with others at all levels of the organization. Leading your boss is being aware of what is important to her/him, and helping to achieve the goals of your team. It’s easy when you have a strong relationship with your boss and much harder when you don’t. You gain the respect of those you supervise when you coach and guide them to being their best. Helping to build your peers, and building a relationship of trust a way to lead sideways. October 26 - Working with Emotional Vampires

How can you identify an emotional vampire? They are the kind of co-worker who can drain the energy and morale of everyone they encounter. Their toxic behavior can range from subtle comments to full blown drams. This workshop will focus on the results of your CliftonStrengths Managers Report. When we focus on our strengths and what makes us unique we can manage and lead other well.
