Mental Health First Aid Course Presented by OSU CFAES

First Aid isn’t always a band-aid, CPR, or the Heimlich Maneuver. Sometimes people just need YOU! Learn more about the warning signs and symptoms of mental health issues during OSU CFAES' Mental Health First Aid Course. The course is held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and will be held the following dates in 2022: 

  • June 23, 2022
  • July 18, 2022
  • July 28, 2022
  • August 12, 2022
  • August 25, 2022

Who should attend? 

  • Educators
  • Community Leaders
  • Members of the Ag Community
  • Anyone who wants to learn new tools to assist famers during difficult times

What you will learn: 

  • How to identify warning signs
  • How to provide support to someone dealing with a mental health crisis
  • Where to find resources when someone needs help

This course is valued at $170 but is FREE thanks to funding from a USDA FRSAN grant. 

While this training is geared toward supporting our Ag community. This training is beneficial for anyone to take that interacts with other adults. As the holidays wind down, and we all are all slowing down from seeing our family on a more regular basis. We hope that you will consider taking this training so that you can better support your family and friends during what sometimes can be a very stressful or emotional time. You will also notice there are dates listed for future trainings.
