Star of the West Milling Company Announces Flour Mill Project in Willard, Ohio

The Board of Directors’ of Star of the West Milling Company has announced the approval of a “greenfield” flour mill project in Willard, Ohio.  Construction should begin late this fall with completion targeted for fall of 2016.  The facility is slated to produce 10,000 hundredweights (1,000,000 lbs.) of flour per day.  All of the milling capacity will be dedicated to milling soft red winter wheat.

The site location was chosen to optimize availability of Ohio grown soft red wheat and also to position the facility strategically with our existing customer base.

The Company has chosen to not disclose the estimated cost of the project.
