OABA Submits Comments Regarding Agricultural Nutrient and Water Quality Draft Legislation

The Ohio AgriBusiness Association submitted comments last week to David Daniels – Director of the Ohio Department of Agriculture, Jim Zehringer – Director of the Ohio Department of Natural Resources, and Scott Nally – Director of the Ohio Environmental Protection Agency in response to the Agricultural Nutrient and Water Quality  draft legislation released by the agencies.

After much discussion and work over the previous year, the agencies developed the draft legislation to address agricultural nutrient runoff challenges in Ohio.

OABA President and CEO Chris Henney worked with the OABA Public Policy Committee and Board of Directors to review the legislation and to draft comments on behalf of the association.

OABA will keep our members up-to-date as this process continues – stay tuned to News & Notes for updates regarding this legislation.
