Fueling the Future of Agribusiness: 2024 OABA Industry Conference Set to Ignite Growth
The Ohio AgriBusiness Association will provide education and networking opportunities for agribusiness professionals at its annual Industry Conference Jan. 30, 31 and Feb. 1, 2024, at the Renaissance Columbus Westerville-Polaris Hotel.
“We are excited to welcome OABA members to our 2024 Industry Conference, where we’ll ‘Ignite’ the future of agribusiness,” said Robert Mullen, OABA board chair. “This year, we will empower Ohio's agribusiness community to embrace change and drive success in an evolving industry. Attendees can expect engaging general sessions, applicable and diverse breakout sessions, dedicated networking time and to gain strategic insights and valuable connections needed to lead our industry towards success.”
The OABA Industry Conference will officially kick off with the Welcome Reception the evening of Tuesday, January 30, which is preceded by the featured Safety & Risk Management Day. The Industry Conference will continue with educational and informative content January 31 and February 1 and includes the OABA Annual Meeting Luncheon and evening Industry Reception on January 31.
Session topics include global and midwestern crop outlooks, international trade, crisis and emergency management, weather and other impacts upon crops, nutrient supply chain, commercial livestock markets, hands-on sessions with weeds and insects, biologicals, biofuels, employee safety, retail service expectations, attracting new talent, and the future of AI and technology in agriculture.
Continuing education units (CEUs) will be available for both Certified Crop Advisers and state licensed pesticide applicators (OH, IN and PA) that attend the conference. A general agenda is available at www.oaba.net/events_conference.
All-inclusive registration for the event covers admission to the two main days of educational programming (Jan. 31-Feb. 1), the Safety & Risk Management Day (Jan. 30) and all meals and receptions. Registration fees are as follows:
Member: $375 ($450 after Jan. 15, 2024)
Non-Member: $525 ($600 after Jan. 15, 2024)
