The Grain Safety Training Center Committee is excited to announce a new training schedule for 2019. For the first time, the 4-day, 40-hour High Angle & Confined Space Work/Rescue Class will be held over two consecutive weekends. The first half training or first two day training classes will be held Saturday April 27 and Sunday April 28. The second half training and second two day training classes will be held the next weekend, Saturday May 4 and Sunday May 5.

Conducted by the Safety and Technical Rescue Association (SATRA), and led by professional firefighters, participants will learn about issues surrounding grain bins, OSHA standards, air monitoring and more. They will also build practical skills, like rope and harness work, before implementing these skills and rescue procedures using grain bins at the Mercer Landmark facility in Payne, Ohio.

To improve industry safety, OABA members are encouraged to share this excellent training opportunity with their local firefighters.
