OABA Member Invents New Inoculant System

FlexConnect Changes the Inoculant Mixing Game

A revolutionary technology for mixing soybean inoculants is now available, and a longtime Ohio AgriBusiness Association (OABA) member was instrumental in its creation. Jim Pullins of Lancaster was a key part of the development team for FlexConnect™, the first closed transfer system for soybean inoculants.

Combined with a mixing port, FlexConnect from Verdesian Life Sciences enables applicators to handle and mix inoculants of any volume straight from the packaging, without transferring to a separate tank. This saves applicators time and money by minimizing the waste normally associated with inoculant mixing.

“FlexConnect will transform the way applicators are using inoculants,” says Pullins, technical sales representative for Verdesian and an OABA member since 1983. “Seed treatment applicators have battled with wasting time mixing and appropriately handling cumbersome products, as well as cleaning contaminated mixing tanks. Due to the shelf-life and viability of inoculants, many applicators end up wasting inventory due to spoilage of mixed and unused product. All of those add up to wasted money and lost profit, but FlexConnect changes all that.”

FlexConnect is now available for the Verdesian soybean inoculant, Preside CL®.
