Agronomy Sales and Marketing Director

CHS Aligned Solutions is partnering with a large, progressive member cooperative in central/north central Illinois to hire an Agronomy Sales and Marketing Director.
Position Summary:
Be part of a strong, growth-orientated cooperative in a leadership role that allow you to work as a partner with the leadership team. Reporting into the CEO, the Agronomy Sales and Marketing Director will direct, promote, and coordinate the Agronomy Account Managers, as well as the Seed Sales Specialists, in a manner that will optimize the cooperative’s market share and savings, improve the cooperative’s efficiency, help achieve the cooperative’s mission and goals, and result in outstanding customer service. Be a team player that helps take the cooperative to new heights, through professionalism, coaching and focusing on customer success.
Responsibilities:
- Marketing and Sales - Leading, developing and implementing an annual marketing plan, directing marketing activities including developing an annual sales and promotional program.
- Coach the Agronomy and Seed Staff to support the enterprise collaboration, brainstorm, work with the team and create unique, innovative ideas to not only provide additional services but also partner across other divisions of grain and energy.
- Lead the team through setting goals, communicating and mentoring. Guide your team to allow each person to uncover their highest potential. There will be about 10 direct reports.
- Focus on customer service and safety - Must have a positive, customer-focused attitude and personality and creative ideas on ways to benefit the customer’s operations through programs or plans that offer additional services and cost-saving strategies.
