Director of Credit and Agricultural Producer Financing

CHS Aligned Solutions is partnering with a large, successful agricultural cooperative in west-central Wisconsin to hire a Director of Credit and Producer Financing. This position is a senior-level executive role and will be part of the leadership team, reporting into the CEO.

Position Summary:

The Director of Credit and Producer Financing ensures that the credit policies of the cooperative are adhered to, credit goals are achieved, and thorough and accurate business records are maintained. This position is responsible for analyzing and improving the credit and collections processes, monitoring risk, developing collection strategies and providing supervision of the day-to day operations of the credit and collections team.

Position Responsibilities:

Recruits current and potential customers for producer financing through phone calls and farm visits
Oversees the producer loan financing process from start to finish
Builds and maintains relationships with local lenders based trust and communication
Collaborates with department managers, location managers and sales staff to inform, influence and increase business through new and existing customers
Responsible for leading and managing the Credit department
Maintains and processes credit applications and reviews existing accounts to establish credit limits
Checks applicant references and credit rating to determine credit worthiness
Enforces debt collection procedures
Responsible for managing the division’s administration and reporting
Management of the Agri-Loan and Credit Administrator
Focuses heavily in customer service including building relationships with customers

Qualifications & Required Experience:

Bachelor’s degree or 4-10 years’ related experience or equivalent experience
Must understand agriculture and agricultural industry needs
Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office including Word and Excel
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong organizational, problem solving, and analytical skills
Must be personable, approachable, a good leader and manager, organized, able to work independently, capable of multitasking and achieving results
