The Ohio AgriBusiness Association Educational Trust held its Golf for Scholarships scramble on Aug. 16. More than 130 golfers came together at the Shelby Oaks Golf Club in Sidney to support the OABA Educational Trust scholarship fund.
The Educational Trust fund supports scholarships for Ohio agricultural students at The Ohio State University and Ohio State ATI, Clark State Community College and Wilmington College. More than $35,000 is awarded in scholarships each year due to events like the Golf for Scholarships scramble.
Thank you to those who came out to golf, our generous sponsors, and to our committee members (see below) for all of the continued support and dedication. Click here to see pictures from the outing and if you haven’t already, be sure to “like” the OABA Facebook page.
The group honored Mike Badger, Centerra Co-op for his dedication to Ohio agribusiness. Mike has been an active member of OABA for many years. Mike was involved in the inception and creation of the Bowling for Scholarships event, serving on its committee for many years. He spent more than 20 years serving on the Golf for Scholarships committee, as well as being a past member of OABA’s Grain Committee. Click here to read more about Mike.
