Company history: For decades, Sedgwick has been helping employers navigate Ohio’s workers’ compensation system, providing services to help them control claim-related costs and reduce premiums.

How has your company changed over the years? Our team includes the experienced colleagues from CompManagement and CareWorks Comp. The two companies merged and are now Sedgwick. Together, we serve nearly 65,000 Ohio employers including organizations of all sizes operating in various industries across the state. 

How do you see your company growing in the future? Sedgwick will continue to lead the workers’ compensation TPA industry in Ohio, providing innovative solutions to mitigate risk and reduce costs.  Additionally, Sedgwick is rapidly expanding our unemployment compensation services. Our team provides a wide range of cost-effective unemployment services such as claims management, hearing representation, charge auditing, strategic management reports, and an advanced solution for verification of employment and income data. We also offer unemployment tax management services to help businesses analyze tax liability, manage accounts and uncover possible savings.

Interesting tidbits about your business: With the integration of CompManagement and CareWorks Comp, Sedgwick commands close to a 60% market share in Ohio workers’ compensation.

How has OABA helped your business or the agribusiness industry? Sedgwick’s partnership with OABA allows us to deliver exceptional service to OABA members (member benefit) resulting in significant workers’ compensation premium savings for their members.

Anything else you would like to share: Sedgwick has proudly partnered with OABA for over 10 years with an average member savings of $1,800 per year.
