OABA Members Donate Bowling Registrations to Support Agricultural Students

Bowling Header

Each year, the Ohio AgriBusiness Association Educational Trust holds the Bowling for Scholarships in March. The event is an opportunity for OABA members to come together for a fun day of bowling and networking with colleagues, while also supporting the next generation of agriculturalists.

The 2020 event was scheduled for March 13, but was unfortunately canceled due to COVID-19 restrictions. At the time, OABA intended to reschedule the event for the summer, but restrictions did not improve to the point where the association felt the event could be held safely.

Displaying their generosity and commitment to Ohio's agricultural students, the 18 registered teams chose to donate their registration to the Educational Trust:

  • ABIS/JH Ward - Assured Partners
  • AgCredit (2 teams & sponsorship)
  • Centerra Co-op (2 teams)
  • Legacy Farmers Cooperative (3 teams)
  • Luckey Farmers Inc. (2 teams)
  • Nutrien Ag Solutions, Inc. (3 teams)
  • The Andersons, Inc. (5 teams & sponsorship)

OABA and the Bowling Committee thank these teams for their continued support of the Educational Trust.

The OABA Educational Trust scholarship program annually provides more than $45,000 in scholarship dollars to students enrolled in an agriculture-related field attending The Ohio State University and Ohio State’s Agricultural Technical Institute, Central State University, Clark State Community College and Wilmington College.
