Burns Farms LLC is a family-owned and operated feed mill working for one of Ohio’s leading pork producers, located in Milford Center, Ohio. Burns Farms has been in this business for 15 years and has grown from a 2-person company to 9. They are hiring a Feed Mill Operator.

Most work occurs Monday – Friday, with rare weekend work. This is a 50-55 hour per week position. Workdays begin at 7:00 am. Burns Farms offers paid holidays and vacation.
What is a typical day?
You will have a morning meeting with one of the owners to plan the days schedule. This is a computerized mill. Tasks in the day include grinding feed, loading trucks, unloading inbound deliveries (both bulk & bags), communicating with farms & drivers, maintaining a clean facility and multiple other jobs as the day demands. Preventive maintenance may be part of your day as well.
Successful Candidates:
In this position you are the hub of our feed mill and everything revolves around this job. You will be working with suppliers, the sow unit manager, and other employees.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma (Farm experience helpful)
- Mechanical and Electrical knowledge a plus
- Must pass a Background Check and Drug Screen
- Able to lift 50 lb. on a regular basis
- Must be able to load trucks from an overhead platform
- A plus – able to climb a grain leg
- Able to move tractor/trailers on our property
Salary: $48,000 - $70,000 (Based on experience and knowledge)
