Last week, 234 Ohio AgriBusiness Association members, agribusiness professionals and emergency response personnel came together for the 2013 OABA Anhydrous Ammonia Safety Workshop in Smithville and Findlay.
This year’s Anhydrous Ammonia Safety Workshop featured a brand new, hands-on format designed to help participants “learn by doing.” Participants spent the morning in a classroom setting, and then moved to a nearby anhydrous facility to apply the information presented in the first portion of the training. Participants broke into smaller, more interactive groups to participate in hands-on break-out sessions throughout both facilities.
