The Ohio AgrAbility Workshop: Building Independence through Agriculture

Registration is open for “The Ohio AgrAbility Workshop: Building Independence through Agriculture For People with Developmental Disabilities.” This workshop is Feb. 19 at the Ramada Plaza in Columbus, OH.

Purpose of the Workshop:

To discover how agriculture can be a viable work environment for individuals with developmental disabilities.

Workshop Objectives:

• Increase knowledge and understanding of employment for people with developmental disabilities in agricultural settings.
• Learn about existing agricultural models that employ people with developmental disabilities.
• Identify resources and challenges that impact employment.

Keynote Workshop Speakers:

• Steve Muller, The Homestead, Altoona IA
• Panel discussion with local farm programs
