MORE SALMONELLA IN FREE-RANGE, ORGANIC CHICKEN

Test results on 188 processed chickens from seven different free range and organic farms for the presence of Salmonella showed about 30% of the birds tested positive, a higher rate than for traditionally grown chickens,according toUSDA's Agriculture Research Service (ARS).
