CCA Update, CCA of the Year Award Deadline is Dec. 3, 2012

Here are a few reminders for the month of November:

Nominations for the 2013 Certified Crop Adviser of the Year Award are due December 3, 2012.

If you know of a hard-working, dependable CCA that has helped further the CCA program and has given sound advice to farmers, nominate him/her for this award! The winner will be honored on March 5, 2013, at the Conservation Tillage Conference in Ada and will receive a $1,500 cash award from an agronomic business, industry recognition and a special plaque.

More Nutrient Management Plan workshops are being conducted this winter.

Attending these sessions will prepare individuals to write Nutrient Management Plans. Help with the installation of MapWindow GIS and MMP will be provided. The dates and Ohio locations are as follows:

• 12/18/12: Marion OSU Extension Office, Marion
• 1/15/13: Tentatively at Hancock OSU Extension, Findlay
• 2/7/13: Putnam OSU Extension, Ottawa
• 2/19/13: Wayne County OSU Extension, Wooster
• 2/26/13: Marion OSU Extension Office, Marion
