Certified Crop Adviser Program Update
By Ohio CCA Board Chairwoman Tina Lust
The foundation of the CCA program is continuing education. One of the strengths you have as CCAs is staying up-to-date on various subjects in the areas of soil & water, nutrient, crop and pest management.
There are many opportunities to learn this summer and earn Continuing Education Units (CEU) credits, and a few events are listed below.
Western ARS Agronomy Field Day – July 18

Association of Ohio Pedologists & Soil and Water Conservation Society Joint Sumer Meeting and Workshop – August 23 and 24
Day One located at Upper Big Walnut Research Site in Centerburg, OH.
Day Two located at Highbanks Metropark in Powell, OH.
Deadline for registration is August 13. Registration for both days is $100, or $50 for one day. There are a total of 11.5 CEUs available!

On another note, please look at CEUs as a way to broaden your horizons, not just a chore to complete. Challenge yourself to learn something new and bring that knowledge back to your clients!
