White House Pollinator Health Task Force Releases National Pollinator Strategy

CropLife America and Bayer CropScience Support National Strategy

The White House Pollinator Health Task Force released its “National Strategy to Promote the Health of Honey Bees and Other Pollinators.” Established by President Obama last year through a Presidential Memorandum, the task force is handled by the Environmental Protection Agency and U.S. Department of Agriculture.

The strategy has three overarching goals:

  1. Reduce honey bee colony losses to economically sustainable levels;

  2. Increase monarch butterfly numbers to protect the annual migration; and

  3. Restore or enhance millions of acres of land for pollinators through combined public and private action.

National crop protection agencies, including CropLife America and Bayer CropScience, have announced their support of the new strategy. Each organization has committed to the continuation of improving pollinator health.
