Grain Elevator Associate - Seasonal
Central Ohio Farmers Co-op in Fredericktown, Ohio
Central Ohio Farmers Co-op Inc. is seeking a Seasonal Grain Elevator Associate for employment at their Fredericktown location. The ideal person will be employed in a team environment, but also profess the ability to work individually. This person should also be a self-starter. The candidate will be required to work occasional weekends, holidays and overtime as needed. It is imperative that the successful candidate display a positive attitude that promotes teamwork and a favorable image of the cooperative.
Main Responsibilities:
- Perform minor maintenance and greasing of equipment
- Assist with cleaning of bins and silos
- Learn the proper operation of all equipment
- Properly load trucks
- Maintain and clean work area on a daily basis
Position Requirements
- High school graduate or GED
- Must have an acceptable motor vehicle record (5 years)
- Must be able to lift and carry a minimum of 50 lbs
Preferred Qualifications
- Must be safety minded
- Must be able to meet and work with strict deadlines
- Must possess a strong attention to detail
- Must have good communication skills
- Initiative to work independently and also in a team environment
- Adaptable, self-starter, dependable
The Seasonal Grain Elevator Associate is a labor-intensive position which will require bending, lifting, twisting, pushing, pulling, shoveling, climbing, working at heights and other various laborious activities.
