Kalmbach Feeds Inc. in Upper Sandusky is hiring a Maintenance Technician. Responsible for preventive and predictive maintenance on state of the art processing and packaging equipment and facility

About the Role

The maintenance technician is responsible for performing highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain production facility equipment according to safety and productive maintenance systems and processes to support the achievement of the facility’s business goals and objectives. The maintenance team requires someone with a high level of autonomy and requires a self-starter with a positive and proactive approach. The successful candidate must work effectively with all departments, management and employees.

You will repair, replace, remove, and/or modify manufacturing structures and equipment to correct feed manufacturing problems of a mechanical, electrical, and/or structural nature
You have 3 years maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
You perform preventative maintenance (e.g. lubrication, inspection,…etc.) for feed manufacturing structures and equipment
You maintain work area, tools, parts, and equipment in clean and organized manner for the purposes of safety, efficiency, and appearance
You are happy to commute to the feed manufacturing facility in Upper Sandusky, OH and are eager to work afternoon hours (3:00pm – 11:00pm) with overtime **

Who you are

Acquires knowledge surrounding safety/OSHA regulations
Demonstrates ability to meet tight schedules and handles multiple assignments efficiently
Possess electrical and mechanical experience in a manufacturing setting
Ability to read electrical prints correctly
Obtains basic welding abilities
Holds some knowledge of PLC and desires to learn for future needs

The maintenance team works quickly to identify and solve issues as they arise with our cutting edge equipment and facility’s.
